Secluded and Rural Lanai and Molokai
If you want privacy and seclusion away from so many
other tourists, Hawaii offers you two great
choices. Lanai and Molokai are two smaller islands within a short boat
ride or air flight from Maui. They offer a unique vacationing
experience.

Stay here and you're also likely to have an awesome view of nearby
Kaho'olawe (the uninhabited Hawaiian island). Manele Bay is home of
the "Challenge at Manele", which is a link-style golf course first
conceived of by golfing legend Jack Nicklaus."

About Molokai
True to the traditions of their ancestors, the lifestyle of the
people of Molokai is untouched and unspoiled. Nature has carved a
rugged beauty on this island - pristine barrier reefs, soaring sea
cliffs, verdant valley. For outdoor explorers, eco-seekers, and ocean
adventurer - welcome to Molokai, an island that is truly “Hawaiian by
Nature.” This island tends to be not as warm to tourists as the other
islands. I don’t feel the name does it justice.
No fast food restaurants except Sub Sandwich on this island. And
beware, they roll the streets up early. We arrived on Sunday evening,
and found very little open. Monday was a holiday so we were stuck
buying groceries at a convenience store. Tuesday was the first day the
“supermarket” was open.
