What You Should
Know About Hawaii Activities
1. Why you should book
activities ahead of time. You want to
avoid disappointment. Many popular tours sell out weeks in advance.
This is especially true with some of the most popular luaus.
2.
Plan your activities ahead of time so you won't
waste time in Hawaii.
You don't want to spend several hours of
your vacation sitting in a kiosk booking an activity when you could be
lying beside the pool drinking a mai tai.
3.
Don't be fooled by huge activity discount prices.
Many companies will offer you great prices,
but there is a hook . . . Those prices come by having you sign up to
watch a Time Share presentation. Again,
your vacation time is so very valuable and you don't want to waste it sitting at a table
listening to a high pressure sales pitch.
4. Take some time to
review what activities are available.
There a ton of things to do on
the different islands. But not all activities are available on all
islands. So you should probably take a look at the chart I've
created below of activities and qualities available on each of the
islands. (The scale I used is 1 to 5, with 1 being the best). Everyone has unique interests and
activity needs.
For example, if you have your heart set on going
into a real submarine ride to "snorkel" a little deeper (so to speak),
you only have two island choices: Maui and Oahu. (I would recommend
Maui because I've had many divers tell me that Maui has the best
underwater "landscape"). Of course, not everything is on this chart, but
my activity supplier can answer all of your questions when you call.

Of course, you probably won't want
to book your activities before you have nailed down your airfare and
accommodations as you may want to alter your trip details depending
upon the rates available at the time of your vacation.
You want good service at the
lowest possible price and you want a travel agent
who cares about pointing
you to the "right island" and the right lodgings for your stay.
Remember, I don't just book travel, I create vacations.
