So
You're Coming to Hawaii! If you’re like
most of my clients, you’re getting excited. But along with the
excitement there is also
a little apprehension about choosing the
wrong accommodations. That’s where I
come in. I can guide you along each step of the way, to help you make
wise decisions ensuring your stay in Hawaii
will be the vacation of a
lifetime.
There are basically two types of accommodations that you can stay in,
here in Hawaii. Condos or Resorts. So what’s the difference?
If you are on a tight budget or just know that you won’t be spending
much time at your accommodations, you’ll want to go with the condo.
Prices there are much less to start with and the savings just keep on
going. Most condos do not charge parking fees or daily resort fees
which can add up. Some end up being as much as $35.00 a day combined.
If you are at a resort, you have the luxury of eating at the many
nearby restaurants, but that will cost you much more than buying a few
groceries and making a couple of sandwiches for lunch and some fresh
fruit and bagels for breakfast. Of course you will want to sample our
world famous restaurants all over the island, but if you can save on
the first two meals of the day, you’ll have that much more to spend on
fine dining. Tips for valets and maid service can add up as well. And
although it’s nice to have mai tai’s and snacks by the pool as you are
relaxing, your final checkout costs can be quit staggering!

"Thanks
so much Susan! We had an absolutely
fabulous time in Maui and all thanks to you and your wonderful
suggestions /
planning. Maui Hill Resort was great and we will definitely
stay there again when we return --
yes, already decided that as well, just don't know
when as yet. Shelly was absolutely PHENOMENAL. My hair and
makeup looked so good and did not budge
even with the gusts of higher winds on the beach. The
wedding ceremony and setting were
beautiful and we cannot thank you enough!"

I encourage my clients to give me feed back from their stay, so I know
first hand what type of service they have encountered. I had one
couple who had a very enjoyable first week in south Maui. They opted
to spend the second week on the west side. On checking in, they found
the room not ready, plastic coating on the mattress, making it stiff
and noisy, the air conditioner leaking and the safe not functional.
After complaining and getting no results so they made a quick phone
call back to the original condo. They were assured they could return.
Upon their return was a welcome sign in the lobby with their names on
it. The room they had left that morning was clean and given back to
them. A box of candy welcomed them on the bed. They couldn’t have been
more pleased.
Just recently I had a couple here checking out
that condo and I stood in the lobby telling that story. The front desk
guy said to me, “Oh you mean the Hanley party. They were in room 107.”
That incident had happened about three years earlier. I was amazed
that the gentleman there could remember the name and room number. When
my couple found out that they could have their wedding reception at
the same location at no extra cost, they made the decision on the spot
to go with this location for themselves and all their guests.
Don’t leave the choice of your accommodations up to chance. Talk with
someone who has seen them first hand. Call me for recommendations.

With any Hawaii vacation, there are so many exciting things to see and
do on each island. So it can be difficult for first timers to pick the
right island and put together a fun-filled vacation package for
their
getaway – without some expert assistance.
